    .‌.. I don't have any objection to a statue. But this person who is depicted ... was she a war hero? Did she rescue children from a burning building? Did she die in the collapse of the Twin Towers back on 9/11? Her qualification for being honored seems to be the color of her skin.

    No objection? That's the problem. The definition of "hero" has been watered down. People afraid to speak out in truth are a problem. That statue is a waste of time, money, labor, and physical space.
