    I respect all military. I‌ think it is a joke because Marines seem to think they are more special than the other branches of the military. My wife's ex was a Marine in the early 80s. They called him 5X because he was 5 feet tall and 5 wide! LOL, nothing extra special at all!

My dad was Army Air Corps in WWII, both my brothers and I were in the USMC during Viet Nam, and my grandson is currently US Navy onboard the Carl Vinson (out at sea as we speak).     T‌hanks. My dad was Army Air Corp went USAF served 20 years. Firefighter/crash rescue. Hubby also, 20 as Fire/crash rescue then another 19 1/2 as Fire Capt in his hometown. Son USAF 24 yrs, daughter 9 yrs, granddaughter 8 years. Three grandson Army after ROTC college.
