    l‌ol at 50 cents a bale to split between 4 of us. Not that 60# grass stuff either, the 90# alfalfa bales. Broader across the shoulders than between the eyes we were.

    O‌h, I forgot, the truck got a share for oil and gas. Anyway, worked out to $20 a long day to get 200 bales in the barn. Decent money at the time though. 2665.png

    In the fall bailed and stacked hay after being up at 4 to tend to the animals. Only had 6 pigs, assorted chickens, 6 horses and 400 cattle but it seemed like a lot back then. Did it until joining the military.

    Yup baleing hay-riding fences-chopping trough ice in winter for animals-up at 4 doing chores before school-so basic was a walk in the park LOL
