I had to flee violent gangs when I was a kid growing up in The Bronx, NY. Never considered moving to Ecuador.

johndaviddeoliveira As per some FBI report, ~50% of all violent crimes occur within ~2% of America's 3144 counties. So then, if you live in any of those other 3080 counties, the likelihood of your being a victim of a violent crime is slim to none.

JimJimmyJames Yes, I believe the FBI report you mention. Because most of America's counties are not in major cities (where most violent crime happens).
