Richeline Anisso Fung was a full-time DHS-CISA employee while also working contractor jobs tied to the DEA, Department of Energy, Department of Justice, Federal Highway Administration, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and USDA, federal prosecutors said.
Her timesheets sometimes claimed more than 24 hours in a day. On four days in February 2022, prosecutors said Fung claimed 33 hours of work. On another, 32.
Fung pleaded guilty after admitting the scheme caused nearly $250,000 in taxpayer losses. Turns out the secret to working 33 hours a day is apparently billing the government for all of them.
