Russia does not want war, US using Ukraine to heat up tensions: Lavrov

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Friday that Moscow did not want war with Ukraine and spoke positively about the security proposals recently received from the U.S., adding they were better than the proposals received from NATO.He said he plans to meet with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in the coming weeks for more discussions.However, he also criticized the U.S., saying it was using what he called the "regime" of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to stoke tensions with Moscow.The minister also spoke about recent temporary withdrawals of Canadian and American diplomats' families from Ukraine due to the ongoing tensions and Russia's build-up of its military near the Ukraine border.
