A lot of manufacturers are going electric on pumps, steering, measurements down to 0 degree . And measurements down to .0010 ....

WaldoJPeabody Yep, 4700 just before they became 4300s. Has a DT530 with an Allison 6 speed auto shift. Body was built by Western Hauler in Ft Worth. Was ordered as a fire truck chassie.

EasyTag Got a Allison 6 speed hydromatic in my GMC . You can tell by the + and - on the gear shift .

PatriotCin I assemble everything for steering , from pitman arms , steering Collums, ball joints, if it steers it we make it . We are the world's largest supplier to manufacturers.

PatriotDG Don't have a gear shifter. Have a box with push buttons for the auto shift.

Hard on my arms , but I love my work . A lot of business is being lost to Mexico. Go figure !

PatriotDG we(Federal Mogul/bought out by Tenneco) sold the foundry to Mexico we actually used to make Pistons. Now we just Assemble
