The current conflict in Israel/Gaza brings the stupidity of some 20th century influential western ideologies to the surface in grotesque ways. For those of you who don't know, there is a very long series of books called "Idiot's Guides." There is an "Idiot's Guide to Music Theory," and an "Idiot's Guide to Quantum Physics."
