Yes! Columbus arrived with massive weapons cache and began slaughtering everyone in sight, then unloaded millions of slaves, moved to the south to plant the cotton for the queen, and the rest is history! Everything Woke Turns To Shit.

Rick Remember in the Days of Christopher Columbus that was the norm. He was not perfect thought he was going to find more superior life and found just the opposite. Families were selling family members for money because they were so poor and had literally nothing. It was what was going on then.

We destroy memorials, landmarks, names of places and things! All to accommodate a few! We have people that were never shaved, and in most instances never even remotely related to anyone that ever was a slave, demanding reparations? What about reparations for me? I’m a White Man that can absolutely show that my relatives died or were injured in fighting to abolish slavery in the Civil War! Am I or my family not deserving of reparations? We should now ELIMINATE Columbus Day? To make way for Indigenous Peoples’ Day? I don’t get it! Could they simply have not created Indigenous Peoples’ Day without eliminating anyone else? Why not Thanksgiving Day or Valentines Day? In Chicago, they changed a major Street that has forever been known as Lake Shore Drive, to Jean Baptiste Point DuSable Lake Shore Drive. After a Black trader that arrived in the area in 1790 as LIKELY being the first non Native American settler. No one knows for certain if DuSable’s story is anymore true than Ms O’Leary’s cow starting the Chicago Fire by kicking over a lantern. But, with the racial climate as it is in our Country, a predominantly non White City Council approved it. Strange though! Why was no Native American name in the running? Where were the Indigenous People or their backers during this one? Certainly it is without question that the Native Americans were here first! So why not Indigenous Peoples’ Lake Shore Drive. And how can we forget the greatest theft of Native American property ever recorded? Manhattan for a handful of beads? I think that it would be incumbent upon our New York State and the City of New York to rename, if not turn over Manhattan to the Native Americans to right this wrong! We need not single out or limit ourselves to Columbus Day. Remember in 1966 when Maulana Karenga created Kwanzaa during the aftermath of the Watts riots? This was and is a specifically African-American holiday! He himself said that this was to give Blacks an alternative to Christmas! And it wasn’t a “single” day! It runs from December 26 to January 1. A single holiday spanning BOTH Christmas and New Year’s. How strange the content of all name changes to be so racially motivated! How divisive we are. How hypocritical we have become to not admit that we scrap hundreds of years of History, rather than add too or include other people, places or things. How shallow we have become as a people. How divided we actually are. How very sad!
