Under the sheltering grace of Jesus Christ, we remember with pride the courage of the Thirteen Colonies in 1776. They boldly answered the call to fight the vile tyranny of King George and won the freedom that shines across America today. The Continental Congress sent three formal letters inviting the Canadian colony, aka the province of Quebec, to join this sacred struggle for liberty. The elites turned away, chose the bribes of the Crown, and sealed a different path. Now, in 2026, two hundred and fifty years later, Americans live in the light of that hard-won freedom, while Canadians still groan under a distant, parliamentary monarchy and a government that feels increasingly removed from the people. Lord, grant Canadians the courage that was missing then, so that true liberty may yet dawn in the North as well. Amen.
