NEW: A ransom note in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of “Today” host Savannah Guthrie, says she died shortly after being abducted from her home outside Tucson in early February, CNN reported, citing law enforcement sources.
The note claimed her kidnappers did not intend to kill her.
Authorities believe Guthrie was taken against her will after blood was found near her doorstep, and the FBI released surveillance footage of a masked man on her porch that night.
