Some grumbled that our president should not have gone at all. Steve Bannon, for example: “The Chinese Communist Party is a MURDEROUS DICTATORSHIP, EVERY BIT AS BAD AS THE NAZIS, and anybody in business with them is EQUIVALENT TO FINANCING HITLER!” Really, Steve? Hitler? AGAIN? Why do some use a Hitler measuring stick for all world events? Are you really comparing Trump to Neville Chamberlain? Yes, the communist regime’s dictatorship is abhorrent, but would you rather ignore a massive world power such as China? Someone on X said Bannon’s microphone was probably made in China. Another said Steve apparently didn’t know the old saying, “Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.” Besides, Bannon’s influence has waned greatly since Trump’s first term and then it really plummeted after the Epstein files revealed that Steve was buddy-buddying up to the notorious pedophile. So if one ignores the Trump naysayers on both the left and the right, our president made good progress. China will stop flooding the US with fentanyl, they will seek a peaceful unification with Taiwan, they will stop sending military aid to Iran, and they will continue to send us rare earth while we provide them with oil. Can Xi-the-Pooh (he hates that) be trusted? Probably not, but it’s better than seeing a buildup between the two superpowers. Nobody wants more war. There’s another potential war with Cuba and Trump is again using oil as leverage—in the form of a blockade. As for Iran’s crazy medieval theocracy threatening the Strait of Hormuz, Trump is dealing with their terrorist proxies and nuclear threat (something Obama and Biden handled by sending them billions of dollars on pallets), and he’s doing it not just to protect Israel—he’s also doing it to control China by means of their voracious appetite for oil. Trump’s ‘art of the deal’ presidency will pay dividends to the American people. — The GrrrTeam
