Let’s stop pretending this just “happened.”
Oregon didn’t fall apart overnight. It was driven there, step by step, policy by policy, decision by decision, and Tina Kotek has been at the center of it for nearly two decades. She didn’t walk into a mess. She helped build it.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐃
While running Oregon’s House for nearly a decade, she had influence over everything that matters: housing policy, business climate, public safety, and the direction of Portland.
What do we have to show for it?
• A drug policy experiment so reckless it had to be reversed after overdose deaths exploded
• A homelessness crisis that grew after more than $1.3 billion was thrown at it
• A business climate so hostile that major employers packed up and left
• A downtown Portland with one of the highest vacancy rates in America
That’s not bad luck. That’s a track record.

Decriminalizing hard drugs wasn’t “compassion.” It was negligence.
Fentanyl deaths skyrocketed.
Public drug use became normalized.
Communities were left to deal with the fallout. Then came the quiet reversal. No accountability. No ownership. Just a signature on the repeal and move on.
𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃 — 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐆𝐄𝐌 𝐓𝐎 𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐈𝐆𝐍
This one hits home.
Portland used to be a destination. Now it’s a case study.
• Businesses leaving
• Storefronts empty
• Crime and disorder driving people away
• Entire blocks sitting dark
When companies like Dutch Bros, Tektronix, and others walk, they’re not guessing, they’re responding to reality.

State of emergency declared.
Renewed.
Renewed again.
And still… growing.
More people on the streets.
More tents.
More frustration from taxpayers footing the bill.
At some point, you stop calling it a challenge and start calling it what it is: failure.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍
This isn’t one bad decision.
It’s a pattern:
Policy → Failure → More Spending → Worse Outcomes → No Accountability
Over and over again.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐁𝐎𝐓𝐓𝐎𝐌 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄
Oregon is one of the most beautiful places in America.
It should be thriving.
Instead, families are squeezed, businesses are leaving, and communities are struggling to hold the line.
That doesn’t happen by accident.
It happens when leadership gets it wrong, repeatedly, and refuses to course correct.
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐄𝐈𝐏𝐓𝐒 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐎𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐎𝐍. 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘’𝐑𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘.
And until that reality is faced head-on, nothing changes.
BOTTOM LINE.
Whoever succeeds in the Republican primary, Oregon must put full support behind the winner. No whining, No complaining, Full, 100% Support.

GREAT POST! This is what happens when STUPID, extremist, woke Democrats are in charge. The same is true of all the sanctuary cities. These politicians turn successful, thriving cities into 3rd world hell holes! And she's proud of her policies. The only people stupider than her are all the ones who v... View More
