The Ones Who Lead You Home
They do not walk alone.
One steps first into the water.
One follows, carrying what has been learned.
Above them, the circle remembers
threads of prayer,
knots of patience,
feathers that know the way back
when the trail disappears.
The elder wolf watches without hurry.
Its eyes hold winters survived,
storms crossed,
Silence chosen over fear.
The younger wolf mirrors the path,
not as a shadow,
But as a promise
That strength can be passed
without breaking it.
The river does not rush them.
It reflects what they already know:
Leadership is protection,
guidance is presence,
Family is a movement together.
The mountains stand as witnesses.
They have seen this teaching before
How wisdom walks ahead,
How trust follows close,
how no one is left behind.
This is the medicine of the pack:
to face forward
while carrying those who came before,
to move through the world
with memory above the head
and responsibility in the heart.
If you are lost,
walk as they do.
Step where the elder steps.
Listen where the water speaks.
Home is not a place.
It is a way of moving
together.
