JUNE 6 D DAY

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY: June 6 is the 81st Anniversary of D-DAY! Eighty-One years ago, over 156,000 soldiers from the United States, Britain, and Canada, stormed the beaches of Normandy to bring down Hitler and his sadistic Nazi regime. D-Day was the largest amphibious military assault the world has ever seen. 2,501 Americans died on the first day of the battle. These Allied troops fought to preserve the ideals of Christian Western civilization. General Dwight Eisenhower, Supreme Commander of the Allied forces, spoke to his troops on the eve of the invasion.
