He implied that he didn’t know what ’86’ meant and that it was purely random. This was an obvious lie. What—he chose random numbers and they happened to be ’86 47?’ Comey is a liar. His threatening post sparked widespread outrage. Many Trump supporters are interpreting “86” as slang for “kill” and “47” as a reference to President Donald Trump, the 47th president, claiming it was a not-so veiled threat against him. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Donald Trump Jr., and other Republicans quickly condemned Comey’s post—claiming it called for Trump’s assassination. The U.S. Secret Service stated it takes potential threats seriously. Comey denied any violent intent and removed his post. Trump has survived two assassination attempts already and now a former FBI Director is calling for his death? Comey needs to be arrested—but for now the matter is in the hands of The Secret Service. We’d like to see an early-morning raid with Comey in his underwear and trotted out onto his driveway and handcuffed in front of CNN cameras. That may not happen, but it needs to happen. The Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, dismissed Comey’s weak explanation, and many are calling for his prosecution. The controversy is fueled by Comey’s Trump Derangement Syndrome. After all, Trump fired him in 2017 due to the fact that Comey not only let Hillary Clinton skip out on some serious crimes with no charges, but also because Comey helped advance Hillary’s ‘Russia Russia Russia’ disinformation campaign against Trump.
