Trump said the meeting reflected a “total reset” in relations, conducted in a “friendly, but constructive, manner.” Both sides reportedly discussed trade imbalances, market access, and mutual security concerns, aiming to stabilize one of the world’s most complex economic partnerships. However, a significant obstacle remains, a dispute over tariffs on adult toys. Chinese President Xi Jinping reportedly cited an earlier commitment from President Joe Biden to lift tariffs on adult novelty products, a category largely manufactured in China. Xi stated, "Biden was excited about our adult toys." Trump, however, reversed that policy, citing concerns from U.S. intelligence agencies. According to sources, CIA briefings warned of a potential biothreat being introduced via imported dildos, prompting Trump to warn Xi of a possible ban.
