Key facts the media hides: When Garcia was deported on March 15, 2025, his application for withholding of removal was still pending—it had not been finalized. Court filings in Abrego Garcia v. Garland (2025) clearly state: "At the time of his removal, Abrego Garcia’s application for withholding of removal remained pending and had not yet been adjudicated." Translation? There was no binding order stopping his deportation. He was still a deportable illegal alien tied to violent gangs. Even if Garcia had been granted withholding beforehand (he wasn’t), the law would only block deportation to El Salvador — not deportation to any other country.
