Yes, GoFundMe removed fundraising campaigns for Karmelo Anthony because they violated the platform’s policy against supporting the legal defense of individuals accused of violent crimes. Multiple sources, including The Washington Post and Fox News, confirm that any money donated to these campaigns was fully refunded to donors, as is standard practice when GoFundMe deletes a fundraiser. The Anthony family also stated that they did not authorize or endorse any GoFundMe campaigns, and they shifted their fundraising to GiveSendGo, which has raised significant funds. GiveSendGo should have the same policies as GoFundMe and stop all funding for anyone charged with murder especially when they admitted to the killing!!
