Evidently, Trudeau is counting on us being stupid also?
SAUK CITY, Wis. - Over the last several years, Wisconsin has seen thousands of dairy farmers leave the industry.
New statistics show the state lost more than 500 farms in 2017.
The pact will replace the 25-year-old NAFTA. President Trump has blamed NAFTA, which underpins $1.2 trillion in annual trade, for the loss of US manufacturing jobs, calling it “the worst deal maybe ever signed.”
The milestone deal will provide US dairy farmers access to about 3.5 percent of Canada’s well-protected $16 billion dairy market, while cars imported from NAFTA countries will now need 75 percent American content, compared with the current 62.5 percent, according to the Wall Street Journal.“We will charge them approximately half of what they are and have been charging us,” Trump said of the reciprocal tariffs.
