Why are prisoners heads pushed down by guards when transporting? The purposes of this are several. Primarily, it is for security. Also, to reinforce the authority and power of the guards over the prisoners. Also, as an added humiliation to those who once thought themselves to be above all other people, above the law, and above morality.
