    I’d assume they store that information In the Netherlands like we do because the Netherlands doesn’t care one tiny bit about USA laws.

    Not just that, but the way Protonmail is set up, they store that stuff encrypted on their end, so they can't even access your stuff if they wanted to.

    I don’t have any proof but I’d assume the government has some next level unheard of quantum computing power and can crack any encryption. But yes it’s standard to use encryption.
