parents shouldn't give kids tech until they're 12. and even then, severely limit the time they are allowed to use them. Crazy high schoolers are beating up teachers who try to take away their cell phones.

What I did was teach myself how to play chess and then I taught the kids. They really enjoy the game and have even asked for the chess board to be taken out. It keeps them occupied for hours and they don't even look at their phones or computers.
