Save every pre-1964 silver coin, copper penny, and nickel, pre-1964 silver coins are made of real silver from 1965 on they are made of base metal with a silver clad of no value, all coins today are just base metal with a thin coat of real metal. Just like paper money, there is no value and nothing to base any value on. Monopoly money at best. Like the MPC (Military Payment Certificate) the military uses in foreign countries during wars.

I’ve got Some! Any value to the Gold 1.00 Coins I know they’re Plated Some are Sequoia some Presidents were getting them out vending machines at work a few years ago! I just found a 1955 Wheat penny in a Parking lot a QT Store! Thanks

LJames2020 I used to be a coin collector but came on hard times and had to sell, I cry now every time I think about all the silver, wheat pennies, Indian Head pennies, and gold coins. I had a bunch of nazi coins also, but it was either pay the rent, and my family eating.

I have an 1898 and a 1921 silver dollars. Was working at a grocery store in the 80's. A couple of kids came in, got some comic books and some candy, handed me two rolls of dimes.
