Minnesota State Representative Leigh Finke, a transgender woman, is pushing for Minnesota tax money to be used to make the state a refuge for transgender youth. Finke, who also serves as Chair of the Queer Caucus, suggests funding should also be used to train doctors in providing sex change operations and hormone treatments.
