I do dislike disagreeing with folks but Cannabis is medically good for several medical treatments such as some cancers, glaucoma, and Parkinsons' disease.

Maranatha_MarkWhich means that the pharmaceutical industry doesn't control it and the government can't figure out the best way to tax it. One must ask oneself why it's illegal to smoke a plant created by God but fine to drink something that destroys a person's organs made by man.

But folks won't stay home when they drink or smoke, and that's a problem. Many folks can't drive or interact with society when sober, much less when high or drunk and driving drunk or high puts MY LIFE IN DANGER! That said, if they wanted to tax it, and they do, they would tax it which is why they are starting to legalize it. Tobacco is a great example. "God" made it too, but it really isn't good for you, not even a little bit but the ONLY thing it has going for it is BIG Tobacco & Big Alcohol's influences. The thing about both Tobacco and Alcohol is man has been drinking and smoking it LONG before we knew the health dangers, so it was well established when those dangers were discovered. You have to admit, Tobacco isn't used NO WHERE NEAR what it was 50 years ago. "God" didn't make our lungs to handle smoke, so even breathing campfire smoke can be hazardous to your health. Drinking in very moderate amounts (not enough to get a noticeable buzz) isn't as destructive as smoking, even a little bit. However, let me say, If you want to do that, and if it goes bad for you, as long as you're not going to have insurance paying for your resulting healthcare and you stay at home or off the road til you come down/get sober, smoke til your lungs fall out and drink til your liver melts out of your body, I don't care. That's right, I feel the same way about drinking or anything else done in excess that harms your health. But folks won't do that. The Bible, since we brought up "God", warns about getting drunk (same goes for getting High - or using mind altering substances), it's not smiled upon at all, cause folks do SINFUL and STUPID THINGS when they are Drunk or High, that can result in harm to them and others around them.. I've been buzzed about 3 times in my life from alcohol, didn't care for that experience at all, and can't see the allure of it, but that's me. The biggest problem with pot, is it truly is a Gateway drug for most folks. And once they get high, they start looking for bigger and more dramatic highs. I look at Beer & Wine as a gateway alcohol, and is usually folks first dealing with a mind-altering substance. Many folks go from beer & wine to harder alcohols, chasing the more profound buzz, or they've had beer and wine, so they think they can handle the stronger alcohol, and it's usually not the case. Sorry, but Using the "God made it so it cool to use" kind of chaps my ass, in all honesty. YHWH has made a LOT of things that are bad or toxic/poisonous/venomous to us and YHWH made the 'Fruit of the Knowledge of Good & Evil', but we were warned about eating it, right?! So that argument really flies all over me, in the same way as folks claiming victimhood because of the race or gender does. Again, I'm sorry, but I was feeling chatty today! LOL!
