Weishart is a professor who "specializes" in children behavioral science at York university. Young girls were "terrified" of Weishart who was changing with them in the locker room. Parents were forced to setup a makeshift changing tent with towels for the young girls to protect them from Weishart. Swimming Canada and Swim Ontario defended the decision to include Weishart and even threw stones at the people who had a problem with it. "People of all shapes, sizes, genders, beliefs and backgrounds should have the opportunity to swim to the best of their ability... with the expectation that our registrants treat each other with respect and dignity, and keep our sport environment free from harassment and abuse."
