U.S. Defense Officials have now Confirmed that the Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Eric M. Smith who has been Hospitalized since Sunday Night due to an “Unknown Medical Emergency” in fact suffered a Heart Attack which led to him being rushed to the Emergency Room; General Smith’s Condition is currently not known but additional Information regarding it is expected to be released in the coming days. Lieutenant General Karsten Heckl, the Deputy Commandant for Combat Development and Integration and the Commanding General for Marine Corps Combat Development Command is the now the Acting-Commandant of the Marine Corps and will remain so until General Smith can return to Active Duty and/or a New Commandant is chosen by U.S. President Biden. https://twitter.com/sentdefender/status/1719138276810932695
