That's why Trade-in Value of your 5 year old or older $45K EV is pretty much NOTHING, ZERO! NOW what do you do with that battery pack you remove from your car/truck? Recycling is far more EXPENSIVE and DANGEROUS than just making NEW BATTERIES! ALSO something to consider - Most of the materials going into the EV batteries come from our National Enemies - China, Russia, etc.!!! What happens if China decides to cut off the rare-earth minerals NEEDED to produce NEW BATTIERS!? That $30K battery replacement goes to $60K+ IF YOU CAN GET THEM!!!
