This day 31 years ago, the Siege at Ruby Ridge began when State Agents scouting the property of Randy Weaver killed the Weaver family dog, Striker, and murdered Randy’s 14-year-old son, Sammy, by shooting him in the back as he retreated from their confrontation. The next day, Randy’s wife, Vicki, was murdered inside the family’s cabin by a sniper while holding their 10-month-old baby, Elisheba.
