1384 Wycliffe

Even before the Great Reformation, and the Age of Enlightenment, John Wycliffe translated the Bible into English, so that the average person could understand it for the Gospel's sake to the common man. He also understood that Government was to be subservient to God's law, and if not so, those leaders were illegitimate within their positions and needed to be removed. To rebel against God and his word, was to possess the Spirit of Antichrist, and is to be resisted at all costs!
