Our government told the Native American Indians they would no longer need firearms for protection or provide food for their families. What ensued was one of the largest abuses to a group of people in our history. They were starved because profiteers sold the food to other sources and kept the profits. They were killed because some people didn't like the color of their skin. They were rounded up and sent to reservations against their will, where thousand died on the "trail of tears." They believed our government, and they paid the price. Don't you ever, for one minute, think our current government wants our guns to protect us.
