Rev 9:20-21

The Sad Condition of Unrepentant Sinners Rev. 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. (This sad condition of people before Christ comes again is a commentary on our present day. Before Jesus' return, the plagues come upon the earth, which reaped death, destruction, and great misery. Earlier in the chapter Satan and his minions release a great host of creatures who some believe are the fallen angels bound until this time that Jude refers to. It is a troubling time as we see the approaching turmoil in the world. People are dying right and left. There is no hope outside of God and His salvation, but instead of repenting, it says they continued in their sin despite its judgment. Immorality, fornication, and thefts were still rampant. Their heart is so hardened by sin they will not repent. Sin brings judgment in itself before this horrific scene. Jesus sets people free from the sin that holds them captive if they believe in Him and follow His teachings. Yet, people keep sinning and ignoring the world's greatest message in the gospel. It is a message that could change their lives forever and will set them free from sin’s bondage. The more you harden your heart, the more difficult it is to come to Jesus for salvation. Yet, the more we give in to His will, we will experience such a closeness to God that the next step in our lives is to go on to heaven. Don’t let Satan and sin destroy your life. Come to Jesus; we will lift you up out of the miry clay of the world, sin, and the devil.
