🇺🇸USNI News: The United States is under threat from Russian nuclear submarines capable of evading detection while patrolling off the coast of the country, Northcom commander General Glen Van Herke said. He warned that in the next two years, Moscow could deploy its low-speed Yasen-class nuclear attack boats with cruise missiles for constant patrols in the Atlantic and Pacific. This will reduce the decision-making space for top US leadership and leave the country vulnerable in the event of a crisis. The general also stressed the need for the US to expand its operations in the Arctic as Russia and China continue to expand operations in the region.
