The Russian Foreign Ministry says that Russia warns Ukraine, Moldova and NATO against attacking Transnistria. Russia will protect the population and its soldiers. An attack on Transnistria will be interpreted as an attack on Russia itself. Transnistria, officially the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, is a pro Russian unrecognised breakaway state that is internationally recognised as a part of Moldova.
