Even after the US commenced its invasion the Taliban were willing to deport OBL to a neutral nation but the US loves to dictate terms backed by overwhelming firepower and refused. The â€œAvenge 9/11â€ tantrum was replaced by the NWO-driven â€œnation buildingâ€ attempt to turn Afghanistan into another Western nation. Democracy at gunpoint never works. The Afghans were never given the choice for a government based on Sharia Law, which the majority of the people desired. Instead, the US imposed Western-style â€œdemocracyâ€ with US-picked leaders who obediently followed US ordersâ€¦with incentives of large monetary bribes. Had the US been satisfied with chasing Al Qaeda out of Afghanistan and left, there would not be any problemsâ€¦.But, NWO elements in the US government wanted to create a model of Western Democracy in a country that had been â€œprimitive and backwardsâ€ for over a thousand years. Years before, the US asked the Taliban to end opium production, which the Taliban honored. After the invasion, the CIA wasted no time in securing those poppy fields and controlled opium production, which filled their secret budget with billions of dollars, at the expense of Europeâ€™s society with the flood of illegal drugs. The Pentagon was thrilled. It has always been a dream to have an eternally, ongoing war against a faceless enemy that could never be a threat to the US. The Pentagon also met a goal held by every government agency: A constantly filled trough. People under such oppression tend to develop a deep contempt for their oppressors and whatever their oppressors teach, with the exception of a handful of malcontents and traitors who always welcome oppression. Is it hypocrisy to criticize the disastrous retreat? No, it is ignorance of the facts. The US presence in Afghanistan was portrayed as an immense charity operation, lifting people out of the Stone Age into the modern era. The fight against the Taliban was given the usual, heroic, Hollywood/Rambo propaganda and for two decades, the Afghan populace was fed the lie that the Talibanâ€™s return would result in everybody being murdered. The Taliban were their cousins, neighbors, friends and many of them the same Freedom Fighters who drove the Soviet Army out of Afghanistan -The same Soviet Army that used poison gas on villages. Could the US had done a better planned retreat? Sure, if the US had any kind of leadership that cared, it could have done better. Could have. But the US government didnâ€™t even consider leaving Afghanistan until Trump audited how much taxpayer dollars was hemorrhaging due to that tar baby. The 9/11 attack cost the US three to six trillion dollars; the Afghanistan trap cost the US another two trillion dollars plus. The US government has to borrow money from countries like China, in order to keep its government operating. No country could afford war, least of all the USA. The Pentagon learned nothing from the disastrous retreat from Saigon and even blamed the diplomats in Paris. The Pentagon wonâ€™t learn the lessons of Afghanistan, either. The problem isnâ€™t the US president, the Pentagon or the â€œmilitary industrial complexâ€. It has always been the American people, and they have allowed their government to operate without proper oversight.
