To this day after 13 years of retirement Anaheim City School District was the best place to be and to work!! I do miss the work, the friendships and watching the District grow! I started as a noon- yard supervisor, then hired as a three-hour teachers aide, then promoted to a school office secretary for 5 hours, in to worked at the district office as a secretary to the Director of the Curriculum Dept. In 1996 I moved to the Facilities and Planning Dept. where I became the Secretary to the Director of Facilities and Maintenance! I stayed in that position until my retirement in 2009 with a medical disability from and injury on the job! I loved every minute of every day from working with children, to teaching the children, to building and the modernization of the schools through the funding, expenditures and maintenance of each school site! I admired every leader at each site I was at because of their dedication to every student and staff member at each site! A 32-year experience and wonderful memories of The Anaheim City School District and the teachers and students that have touched my life for a lifetime!! A HUGE SHOUT OUT AND A BIG THANK YOU TO ROBERTA THOMPSON AND MILTOS VARKATZAS for believing in me and trusting that I would be and do my best every day! THANK YOU TOO TO ALL OF THE FRIENDS I MADE THROUGH THE YEARS!
