43 years ago today, Mercedes Luzmira Polden Pehuén was shot in the back by Pinochet's thugs around 3am. They tore her clothes and left her body lying to look as if she had been raped. She was found the next day; when this was reported, Pinochet's thugs attempted to frame the discoverers for rape. Remember what happened to 17 year old Mercedes, and almost happened to innocents whose only crime was trying to report a murder, the next time you see a "Free helicopter rides" T-shirt.
