A litre of Tonic Water contains 180 mg of quinine, the tablet is 200 mg.

‌Good to know. Question, is tonic water carbonated? If so, could one take and leave the lid off to release the carbonation? I ask because anything carbonated is a no no for me.

‌Yes. My Lady, it is carbonated. I would have to check the vapor pressure of the Quinine hydrochloride to see if it would escape at room temperature. Maybe leaving the cap off in the refrigerator would work, but, again, I would have to check.

‌Thank you. I could try to research it, but I wouldn't know where to begin.

‌there might be a reference in the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics but I sent mine off already. I'll see what I can find though. I know that quinine is fairly volitle (evaporates) but I don't know at what temperatures. Those who are making the "Homebrews" caution not to open the pot u... View More

‌ Wow...sounds like a lot more than simple research. No doubt it would be worth it though.

‌Na, it's just knowing where to look My Lady. I'll see what I can find though.

‌Doesn't look like it would be a problem to let the carbonization escape in the icebox. Don't over do it on the consumption however, probably no more than a liter a day. Quinine can produce side effects and can even be toxic at high levels. https://comptox.epa.gov/dashboard/chemical/propert... View More

‌Thank you so much, kind Sir. No worries on the consumption. (unless it's coffee..lol) Outside of that, I only consume 1 bottle of water a day.

‌I drink about 2 cups with my dinner, that's about a half liter. It's no where near a therapeutic dose but I figure if I ever am exposed it will slow things down enough for the ole immune system to get a good run at it.

‌ I'm not to savvy about the metric system, but I would probably replace my 16oz bottle of Spring Water with it. I do most all the immune boosting vitamins and minerals to help me. Who knows, I may have already had it and never knew. Regardless, I have had a good life and wouldn't mind ... View More
