Three years ago today, Lori Gilbert-Kaye was murdered in a terrorist attack on San Diego. Prior to the attack, the killer had posted his manifesto on 8chan (now 8kun) - a thoroughly disgusting place whose administrators claim that the horrible content on it is simply the consequence of an unmoderated forum. What the MSM hasn't noticed, and the owners don't generally publicize, is that 8chan was NOT unmoderated. Sure, underage girls would stay up for weeks. Dox would stay up for weeks. Terrorist manifestoes and exhortations to commit copycat attacks? Well, the board is now very, VERY slow... but at the time of this writing, I found a post praising terrorist attacks from *2020* in a sticky thread. Meanwhile, people who argued against National Socialism were getting banned in 2021.
