When Musk talks about the Algorithm(s)... there's the shadow banning and another little known but critical one people often forget. The Shadow banning most people know about. That's where you can be on the platform feeling like you are engaging and doing all these things (likes, RTs, comments, your own Tweets) but the platform has code that can make sure nobody else (or just a very small number of people) will actually see your content. You effectively become invisible and they can therefor reduce your impact and turn your virality down. The second form is more sinister and CLEVER. It has to do with network bubbles & ideological isolation. They trained their system to gradually get better and better at forming community bubbles to make sure ideas from 'dangerous' people would rarely be seen by 'safe' people. They used many different criteria to perfect their model of who was dangerous. 1) what news sources you use, 2) who you talk to, 3) words you use.
