41 years ago today, James Brady was the White House press secretary when an American Nazi Party member attempted to assassinate President Ronald Reagan. The Nazi had apparently convinced himself that assassinating the President would impress an actress he was stalking. (The attempt did not impress the actress.)
President Reagan was injured, but recovered. James Brady was shot in the head and permanently disabled. Years later, in 2014, Brady would die from aftereffects of the injury.

‌Yes, it has morphed into a "gang" sign since it now represents cops not turning in bad cops, even when they do bad or see bad they don't rat on each other, just like a gang. They will cover up for each other and lie or plant evidence to protect each other from their CRIMES. That is what... View More

‌I'm sorry you feel that way & i disagree. To be fair, I come from a Chicago police family & also worked for a suburban police department right next to Chicago. I don't feel it represents a 'gang". I see it as a solidarity. It is easy for people to disagree or dislike police because they a... View More
