27 years ago today, Deputy Frank Vasquez Trejo was investigating a suspicious pickup truck (occupied and parked by a business that was not open at 11:30). It turned out the occupants were a thug and a thugette casing an adjacent tavern for a robbery. The thug, a recently paroled Aryan Brotherhood member, shot Deputy Trejo in the face. His death left a mother without her son, a wife widowed, and four children without their father. #BlueLivesMatter
