    ‌I think that was a special adaptor for the STG 44 if I remember correctly. Although there have been other's.

    ‌ The special adapter for the STG44 was so it could shoot around corners, it even had a mirror so the shooter could see what to shoot without being shot. What the picture shows, isn’t the adapter, these appear to be fake rifles.

    ‌I don't doubt it, I just keyed on the Shooting around corners. The STG44 with adapter (and the special shortened bullets it required) was also popular with tank crewman so that they could clear the area around a tank without sticking their head out of the hatch if I recall correctly.
