    Glad you liked it. Orio Palmer was 1 of 2 firemen who made it up to the impact zone. The lyrics come from his radio transmissions to the other members of FDNY who were still on the ground.

    Charlie Garbarini was not my best friend from high school or anything like that. But we were in several of the same classes between 1971 &1975. I can remember eating lunch with him on more than a couple of occasions.

    I am not a veteran. Neither am I a former member of FDNY or NYPD. The closest I came to anything like that was when I was a civilian employee of the NY DOC for 4 years.

    6 of my high school classmates died on 9-11. 3 were FDNY. 1 was a Port Authority cop. And 2 others worked at the Twin Towers. To mark the 20th anniversary, I wrote & recorded a number of songs. Here are 3 of them.
