"Thou shalt not kill" means just that- including yourself. You cannot ask for forgiveness after you're dead; it would be too late then. Many of us have had "dark times" in life in "not wanting to be here", but when depression, anger, and suicidal tendencies want to set in- take it to God. He will heal you. There should be a "sense of understanding" - of "empathy" - to realize the darkness of this poem. Our Heavenly Father, God Himself, healed me from this tendency - time and time again. I kept moving forward, and have forgiven myself and moved on. Pray for those who are hurting. Show kindness and compassion, not bitterness, hate, or anger towards them. Love them, and forgive them too.
