US Dept of Justice to create new unit focussing on domestic terrorism - due to threat from “ANTI-AUTHORITY” ideologies DoJ Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen told lawmakers Tuesday the department is establishing a new unit focussing on domestic terrorism following a “growing threat from those who are motivated by racial animus.” (AP) Olsen continued to say the greatest domestic threat comes from single extremists radicalized online who plan to carry out violence on “soft targets.” However, some Republican detractors have criticized the DoJ of focussing too much on the so-called Capitol attack, while playing down Black Lives Matter riots following the death of George Floyd.
