Italy Toughens Covid Restrictions On Unvaccinated Just a month after mandating vaccination (or proof of recent recovery) to attend sporting or cultural events, Italy’s govt has expanded the demands to everyday venues such as cafes, gyms and public transport. Daily Covid case numbers soared above 100k in late December, despite 86% of over-12s being fully vaccinated. Around 2MN Italians are currently infected with the virus. The new "super" health pass requirement means those against getting jabbed will be prevented from taking a bus or the metro to work in Italy.
