By inhibiting GLUT4's linear movement through the microtubule with fenbendazole, insulin-stimulated sugar uptake is significantly reduced.Furthermore, because fenbendazole functions similarly to colchicine (by interacting with a site on tubulin) but is distinct from other vinca alkaloids and other chemotherapies, it will not compete with them.
