7½ years ago (October 2014), when Russia, by military force, annexed Crimea (part of Ukraine) the US did nothing... through nearly eight years, to date, the US has done nothing. Now, with what is looking more, and more, like a complete Russian overthrow of the Ukrainian gov't., the US is rattleling Sabres.
In September 1939, after almost two decades of Nazi tyranny, Germany invaded Poland. World War II ( #WWII ) had begun. In the timeline from, especially from the time of the #ReichstagFire, February 1933, through September 1939, the North American & South Pacific nations were all reluctant to get involved in that brewing conflict, so very far away, even though the US, Canada-stan, Australia and New Zealand leaders were pretty much all in staunch opposition to what the Nazis were doing.
In 1939 Canada-stan, Australia and New Zealand all committed military support, and joined WWII. The US, however, held back. Held back, that is until Pearl Harbour.
Again, all the North American and South Pacific leadership opposed the Nazis mindset. Contrast this with the American leadership in 2022, wherein das Führer, Beijing-Biden, and his cronies, admire justeeen Trudeau's Dyck-ta-torial, Socialist (really Communist) ideologies and methodologies. If American leaders do anything, with respect to Canada-stan, it will almost certainly be to say:
"See, look at how well the Canadians can *get shit done* since declaring Martia Law. We need this, in the USA."
America, under present leadership, isn't going to "come to the rescue of Freedom Loving Canadians. Nope. America, will likely show support for justeeen Trudeau, and seek ways to impose similar constraints here. 😔🙄🤬😠😡😤
